Samsung has finally acknowledged that there is a widespread issue related to their auto HDMI switching and the Nintendo Switch’s sleep mode. In a statement to The Verge, Samsung stated that they will issue a firmware update to resolve the problem some time this summer:
“Samsung has been following the comments on our Community Thread and we will be issuing a Firmware update early this summer that will address this behavior and provide the level of convenience that was intended.”
Given that I am a Samsung owner and have experienced the auto switching HDMI issue myself, I am really looking forward to this firmware update. More info when we get it. Stay tuned.
