Skybound Games announced today that they’re partnering with Beamdog to bring a plethora of classic RPGs to consoles this year. More information will be made available in the coming months, but for now we know that Baldur’s Gate, Baldur’s Gate ll, Baldur’s Gate: Siege of Dragonspear, Icewind Dale, Planescape: Torment, and Neverwinter Nights are all coming to consoles in 2019. While the press release doesn’t specifically state Nintendo Switch, it’s safe to assume they’ll be landing on the portable console as well.
Beamdog is probably best known for bringing enhanced versions of these classic RPGs to PC. Skybound Games was selected as the team to finish The Walking Dead after Telltale Games shuttered their doors. We look forward to seeing a physical release of these classics.
