Nintendo has done a complete 180 on their stance regarding customer reviews. Having only released on February 23, the feature has now been pulled from the online store. Nintendo has posted the following statement on all of the Switch game review areas:
Customer reviews have been taken offline as we evaluate this feature and its functionality. We currently have no estimated date on when an update will be provided. We appreciate the positive response and thank the reviewers who provided such thoughtful commentary on the games.
In order to actually review a game, the user would simply have to play a title for two hours or more. After that, they would be allowed to leave feedback in the form of comments and an actual rating, along with traits about the game. Unfortunately there’s no word if the feature will be back; if it happens we’ll keep you in the loop.
