It seems Nintendo is truly getting behind indie titles, as they’ve released their list of top-ten selling independent studio games for the Switch. The “Nindie” list, a first for Nintendo, was presented by Damon Baker, Nintendo’s Head of Partner Management for Publisher and Developer Relations, and uses life-to-date sales figures.
The full list can be seen below in no particular order, as the actual sales figures were not made public.
Shovel Knight: Treasure Trove
Fast RMX
Kamiko
Enter the Gungeon
NBA Playgrounds
SteamWorld Dig 2
Stardew Valley
Celeste
Golf Story
Overcooked Special Edition
The list seemingly has some great games on it, but more noteworthy are the newly-released titles such as Celeste and Enter the Gungeon. Their big sales numbers prove a point: the Nintendo Switch is here to stay, and can boast terrific independent titles. The list also comes off the back of the earlier-today Nintendo Switch Nindie Showcase Spring 2018, which had even more glorious additions to their lineup. If you had to pick, what would your top-ten Nindie list look like?
