If you’re up to the challenge, then this is good news: the Dark Souls Remastered port to the Nintendo Switch has received an October 19th release date. The hard date comes from directly from Bandai Namco and FromSoftware.
In addition to the software, the Dark Souls sole amiibo, Solaire of Astora, will launch alongside the game. It was also revealed that there will be an “online Network Test,” presumably to test the servers within Nintendo Switch Online. No exact dates were given for the run, however. Originally set to release during the summer months, the game was delayed in order for the development team to polish up the experience for Nintendo Switch players.
For those unfamiliar, Dark Souls Remastered is the first game in the action-RPG Dark Souls series. Set in the fictional kingdom of Lordran, the player assumes control of an undead being with the purpose of discovering the fate of their kind.
Praise the sun, and prepare to die anywhere and everywhere when the game comes later this year.
